Things to do on a rainy day in Oxford

Although there is so much to see and do in Oxford’s beautiful streets, sometimes the cold and rainy weather just isn’t the one. However, don’t let the weather spoil your fun, as the dreaming city of spires is also home to some of the best museums, castles and outlets.

Ashmolean Museum

Have a history lesson at Ashmolean Museum. The University of Oxford’s museum of art and archaeology, Ashmolean Museum is full of extraordinary diverse collections, with objects dating from to 500,000 BC! The 16th-century building boasts the world’s greatest collection of Raphael drawings, the only Minoan collection and has the foremost collection of modern Chinese painting. Until the 9th June 2019, the museum is showcasing Jeff Koons’ exhibition, who has been called the world’s most famous and controversial artist.

Oxford Castle & Prison
