Being a Grade II listed building of historical significance, renovations cannot always be carried out in order to preserve the original structure. Expect unique quirks, such as creaky floorboards, narrow corridors and original features which all add to the charm and homely feel of our quintessentially English hotel.

Throughout our boutique rooms and suites, our designer has selected a luxurious palette of subtle greys and whites, complemented with pops of colour and a mix of modern and traditional furniture.

Our beds are dressed in premier cotton linen to ensure a relaxing night’s sleep. And, as with most of our furniture, our bedframes were handmade in England to a bespoke specification.

Each room is named after a historical character or significant location related to Oxford’s fascinating past, with the backstory displayed on the bedroom wall. Our bespoke style is finely tuned with careful attention to detail, technology and round-the-clock service, so you can have the perfect luxury staycation in Oxford.

Enhance your stay with our Breakfast Hamper, a basket filled with your choice from our selection of continental items from cured meats, creamy cheeses, and pastries to name a few, enjoy with a freshly brewed coffee or tea and juices. The hamper will be delivered for you to enjoy in the comfort of your own room.
