Read on as our hotel picks out the top 3 things to do this autumn in Oxford…

Head to the theatre

Our Oxford hotel is only a 2-minute walk away from New Theatre Oxford, so why not treat yourself to some tickets? Throughout Autumn there are loads of great acts appearing on stage, from Romesh Ranganathan and Harry Redknapp to Ant Middleton and even Lulu! Theatres are the perfect place to head for a date night, enjoy a romantic meal beforehand, then head to our plush and comfy rooms to kick back and relax when the night is over!

Visit The Oxford Artisan Distillery

Head to The Oxford Artisan Distillery (TOAD), conveniently located just 20-minutes from our boutique hotel in Oxford.  This is a distillery with a difference, as they don’t just brew one specific thing, instead they brew gin, vodka, whisky and even absinthe! Why not book yourself onto one of their tours and learn all about this special craft? There are two different tours available: standard, which shows you how the spirits go from grain to bottle, finishing with the opportunity to try some samples! Choose their gold package and you’ll have a tour with one of the founders, learn about the process of grain to bottle and at the end, you will enjoy an extended tasting session plus a large gin and tonic! Perfect to warm you up if it’s chilly outside!

Indulge in chocolate at Blenheim Palace

Just a 20-minute drive from our Oxford Hotel brings you to Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. Steeped in history, the palace and has lots of events and attractions taking place throughout the year.   But what if we told you one of the events taking place lets you enjoy chocolate for dinner? Something your mum always said you weren’t allowed!  That’s right, join William Curley, master chocolatier and patissier for an evening of chocolate! Upon arrival, you’ll be able to indulge in champagne and canapes, followed with a three-course dinner cooked by Curley, that has a taste of chocolate truffles and other based cocoa treats entwined!  The event takes place on 25th October and you can book tickets here.
